Wine Tasting in Orlando, Florida

Over the last couple of years we have driven down Formosa Gardens and watched this winery being built and now it’s finally open.

Set in over 6 acres of gorgeous Florida gardens it’s a fantastic setting.  We haven’t visited yet but will put that right when we are next in Florida in May.

They have their own Winery and also a Micro Brewery and they are easily accessible with lots of parking and they have space inside for meetings and corporate events and outside for weddings, they even have a heart shaped area for saying ‘I Do’

Some of the things you can try are as follows:-

  • Drinking – They serve award-winning fruit wines from Island Grove Wine Company, traditional wines of international origins, and craft beers (often from Florida breweries).
  • Eating – Their bistro offers fresh, hot breads and pastries, and artisanal food. Many of the ingredients are sourced from their eight acres of sustainable gardens.
  • Gathering – With roughly 3,000 square feet of indoor meeting space and expansive outdoor venues surrounded by botanical gardens, the winery is the perfect location for weddings and other special celebrations and business meetings. They also host lots of  seasonal festivals, such as Oktoberfest, the British Festival, and the Blueberry Festival.
  • Educating – Go along and  take part in one of theirr wine or tea tastings.

Another string to their bow is  that they are producers of many celebrated fruit wines.   If you’ve not tried fruit wines before you can sample the wines to get acquainted with the entire line of Island Grove fruit wines, they taste quite different to grape wines so it’s worth trying a few (just to make sure you like them right?)

The food is really good with a nice selection of vegetarian options too.  Sandwiches etc are priced well starting at around $9

Take a look at their website and see if this is the sort of place you’d like to go along to:- Island Grove Winery
