Hard To Find Disney Characters

Hard To Find Disney Characters

We all know that when we visit Disney we will want to meet our favourite characters, the joy of talking to them and having your photo is a stand out moment, especially for parents who have brought their children for this exact thing, it’s a tryly special moment.

Most characters are very easy to find, however there are some that prove more elusive.

Most children have their absolute favourite character and they are often not the most popular ones but just someone who touches their heart and fills them with joy.

Getting a photograph and a autograph from your favourite is a highlight of your trip to the parks and to this end we have found this link  courtesy of Disney Fanatic which will help you locate some of the more difficult to find characters, do pop back and post photo’s of you with any of them that you find:-

Wine Tasting in Orlando, Florida

Wine Tasting in Orlando, Florida

Over the last couple of years we have driven down Formosa Gardens and watched this winery being built and now it’s finally open.

Set in over 6 acres of gorgeous Florida gardens it’s a fantastic setting.  We haven’t visited yet but will put that right when we are next in Florida in May.

They have their own Winery and also a Micro Brewery and they are easily accessible with lots of parking and they have space inside for meetings and corporate events and outside for weddings, they even have a heart shaped area for saying ‘I Do’

Some of the things you can try are as follows:-

  • Drinking – They serve award-winning fruit wines from Island Grove Wine Company, traditional wines of international origins, and craft beers (often from Florida breweries).
  • Eating – Their bistro offers fresh, hot breads and pastries, and artisanal food. Many of the ingredients are sourced from their eight acres of sustainable gardens.
  • Gathering – With roughly 3,000 square feet of indoor meeting space and expansive outdoor venues surrounded by botanical gardens, the winery is the perfect location for weddings and other special celebrations and business meetings. They also host lots of  seasonal festivals, such as Oktoberfest, the British Festival, and the Blueberry Festival.
  • Educating – Go along and  take part in one of theirr wine or tea tastings.

Another string to their bow is  that they are producers of many celebrated fruit wines.   If you’ve not tried fruit wines before you can sample the wines to get acquainted with the entire line of Island Grove fruit wines, they taste quite different to grape wines so it’s worth trying a few (just to make sure you like them right?)

The food is really good with a nice selection of vegetarian options too.  Sandwiches etc are priced well starting at around $9

Take a look at their website and see if this is the sort of place you’d like to go along to:- Island Grove Winery

Hang Glide Orlando

Hang Glide Orlando

I know Hang Gliding might not be people’s first thought when they think of something to do on their Florida holiday but for some adrenalin junkies it will be right up their street.

Wallaby Ranch is just off the US27 in Deen Still Road (less than 10 minutes from our home) it was founded in 1991 and it’s founder Malcolm is by far the most experienced tandem hang gliding pilot in the world, and has more than 30,000 incident-free tandem flights under his belt.

The ranch is set in beautiful secluded location, surrounded by natural Florida woodlands, home to many different species of wildlife, from deer, migrating birds, various reptiles and amphibians to the occasional sighting of the very rare and endangered Florida Panther.

The ranch itself is not shared with anyone else nor is the  100-acre take-off and landing field so you don’t have to worry about any other aircraft of any type anywhere near your flight and the landing field is so big that it allows take-offs and landings in any direction.

Anyone can fly as long as you are over 18 years old and weigh under 240 lbs . They are  tandem flights where you have an instructor with you the whole time, you can only have 2 people in the aircraft, this means you get one on one instruction and are able to take the controls if you feel confident enough to do so.  What a fantastic experience.

Bath & Body Works

Bath & Body Works

I’m a member of many Orlando Facebook groups and one shop gets a mention at least once a week and that shop is Bath & Body Works, us Brits absolutley love it in there and bring home copious amounts of their lotions and potions and home goods (and their poor husbands who are usually shopped out) spend a lot of time mooching around the shop (they are in many places not just Orlando)

The tiny hand sanitizers are extremely popular and my friends often ask me to get them for them (luckily they are tiny and not heavy at all so they don’t really impact on my weight limit coming back to the UK)   You can get 5 for $6 and they have little holders for them so you cn clip them on to your jeans loop or your handbag.

Persoally I have a few home favoutites including the foaming hand wash.  I have the Black Cherry Merlot in my bathroom (in the photo)  and the Eucalyptus Mint in my kitchen.  The fragrance is strong and lasts for a long time after you’ve washed your hands.

I also love their 3 wick candles and have 2 at the moment (I’d have more but they are heavy to bring back.  They fill my lounge with gorgeous fragrance.   I absolutely love lilac and you don’t see it often as it’s quite a old fashioned flower so when I spotted this I was delighted.  I also have the lilac spray air freshners.

My car even gets a look in with a Scentportable, it clips on to my sun visor and you can get lots of different refills with loads of choice of fragrance, I currently have the Endless Weekend in mine.  The holders are plentiful, I have quoite a plain one but some are fancy and some are bling.

They don’t just do things for the home they have body lotions, body sprays, soaps, so many personal items to make you smell gorgeous as well as your home smelling gorgeous.

So, there’s some of my favourites, I could go on and on but lets hear what you love from this shop – do you have a personal favourite?

Pop over to their website and sign up to their email club as they send special offer coupons etc.  It’s worth looking at their website just to see the gorgeous pictures, they sure do know how make make things look pretty:-  Bath & Body Works

If this is all new to you and you’ve never visited this store and you now decide to visit  when you are in Orlando then do pop back and comment on my post to let me know what you bought.

Happy shopping guys
